Marine Industrial Diesel Technician

We are currently seeking a skilled full-time, Marine/Industrial Diesel Technician for the repair facility in South Roxana, IL.

• Experience with Cummins INSITE or John Deere Service Advisor.
• Engine experience with one of the following: John Deere, Cummins or Mitsubishi.
• Have basic hand tools.
• Be willing to be on call.
• Be willing to work overtime.
• Five years’ experience (Preferred)
• Must be 20 years of age or older due to insurance requirements.

Diesel Truck Mechanic 

We are currently seeking a skilled evening shift Truck Mechanic to maintain and repair diesel trucks and heavy equipment. CDL Required.

• 5 yrs or more proven engine mechanic overhaul experience on Cummins, Detroit, International, Mack, Mercedes, and Caterpillar
• 5 yrs proven after treatment experience
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components
• Working knowledge of diagnostic systems and methods (laptops)
• Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
• Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
• Electric, hydraulic, air brake, and clutch experience
• Experience with alignments
• Must be 20 years of age or older due to insurance requirements.

Truck Parts Counter Person

Mike’s Inc., a union shop, is seeking a full-time Truck Parts Counterperson for their facility in South Roxana, IL. (Evening Shift)

• Must have 5 Yrs Semi -Truck and Trailer Parts counter experience
• Excellent communication skills, sales skills and phone etiquette
• Team player
• Professional attitude
• Enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service to customers.
• Computer aptitude with online/internet proficiency
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Must be 20 years of age or older due to insurance requirements.

Big Engine Mechanic/ EMD

Mike’s, Inc. is searching for a big engine mechanic, specializing in the maintenance and repair of 645 and 710 EMD engines. Their work involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing EMD engines in marine/towing vessels, and locomotives.

• Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical components.
• Diagnostic Skills: Ability to diagnose problems using specialized tools and techniques.
• Repair Skills: Proficiency in using hand tools, and power tools.
• Troubleshooting: Ability to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy parts and work in various environmental conditions.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions and ensure accurate repairs.
• Experience: Previous experience working with EMD Engines is often required or preferred.
