CURRENT JOB OPENINGS
Marine Industrial Diesel Technician
We are currently seeking a skilled full-time, Marine/Industrial Diesel Technician for the repair facility in South Roxana, IL.
- Experience with Cummins INSITE or John Deere Service Advisor.
- Engine experience with one of the following: John Deere, Cummins or Mitsubishi.
- Have basic hand tools.
- Be willing to be on call.
- Be willing to work overtime.
- Five years’ experience (Preferred)
- Must be 20 years of age or older due to insurance requirements.
Diesel Truck Mechanic
We are currently seeking a skilled evening shift Truck Mechanic to maintain and repair diesel trucks and heavy equipment. CDL Required.
- 5 yrs or more proven engine mechanic overhaul experience on Cummins, Detroit, International, Mack, Mercedes, and Caterpillar
- 5 yrs proven after treatment experience
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components
- Working knowledge of diagnostic systems and methods (laptops)
- Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
- Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
- Electric, hydraulic, air brake, and clutch experience
- Experience with alignments
- Must be 20 years of age or older due to insurance requirements.
Manual Machinist
Mike’s Inc., a union shop, is seeking a full-time Manual Machinist who is responsible for the coordination of necessary work, to perform skilled work in welding, heating, cutting, machining, and shaping metal, using acetylene, electric arc and stick welding equipment and machinist equipment.
- Technical school graduation or four years apprenticeship.
- Two years’ experience as welder/machinist at journey level.
- Welding proficiency with electric arc, MIG, TIG and brazing performed in constricted technical proficiency on standard machine shop equipment such as lathe, milling machine, drill press, band saw and any machinist related hand tools.
- Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of this job, including heavy lifting.
- Must be able to wear/use all personal protective equipment required to perform job safely.
- Valid motor vehicle operator’s license if required.
Field Generator Technician
Mike’s, Inc. is searching for a field generator technician. We are the Hipower Power Generation Distributorship for the Southern Illinois and Missouri Region. We have one position available for Generator Technicians to meet expanding customer needs
- Complete preventative maintenance, inspection and service repairs on generators, diesel and natural gas / liquid petroleum engines and automatic transfer switches.
- Continually build good customer relationships and representation of Mike’s Inc.
- Maintain a clean work environment, on the job and at the shop.
- Maintain clean vehicles including regular vehicle maintenance (oil changes, tires, repairs, etc.).
- Adhere to company safety practices and other policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have basic knowledge of residential, commercial, and industrial power generation units.
